They let you on track in shorts? And I thought Hooked on Driving was lax in the rules by letting people drive in t shirts. At least tell me you’re not wearing flip flops. (yes i’ve seen that. An instructor, no less.)

Have you ever been to Atlanta in July? While jeans provide minimal broken glass protection, could you imagine if there was a fire?

That’s exactly what i think to myself when i see people try to skirt the long-pants rule by wearing nylon track pants.

I think your posture could use some improving. It looks like

1) you’re sitting too far from the wheel. Are you finding yourself holding yourself up by the wheel during heavy sustained cornering? I bet you are.

2) Your hands are too much at 10 and 3 for my liking. Try closer to 9 and 3 and try a lighter grip

Check my video to see what I mean

I’m definitely more 10 and 2 than 9 and 3. Both M3's that I’ve had, have the thicker hand grips in the steering wheel at 10 and 2. I just prefer the feeling of it, even though ergonomically it’s incorrect and it limit’s your movement. As far as the seating position, I’ll try sitting closer next time. I was taught as long as your feet can touch the floor behind the pedals (without moving your hips) and your wrists can rest on top of the wheel with your arms bent (not straight) you’re good?

That’s generally true about the steering wheel and your arms being bent. But maybe your 10-2 hand positions make it seem like your elbows are outstretched much more than is actually the case

I think some of it is the camera angle. I had it mounted directly above where a passengers head would be.

This all could’ve been avoided if your weight distribution hadn’t been thrown off by cargo short gravitational waves.

And to think I’ve been blaming the sunroof all this time for raising the center of gravity...
